November has descended upon us and before we know it, the Holiday season will be just around the corner. Holiday parties will be crowding our weekend itinerary, and not only will we be scouring for what to wear, but contemplating how to makeup our face. Dolling up is always a favorite past time of mine, but since switching to green skincare products, I’ve been eager to switch to natural makeup alternatives as well. Below are the Logona makeup products I used to create a nighttime look, perfect for any Holiday occasion.
For the eye makeup, I began by filling in my eyebrows with Eyebrow Pencil in Brunette. To create a smokey winged eye look, I used Eyeshadow Trio in Smokey, a great combination of blues, as the base. I brushed the shimmery navy color in the eye shadow trio on to my eyes and slightly winged out the end for a cat eye look. On top, I layered Liquid Eyeliner in Anthracite, a shimmery dark green, to add some sparkle to the eyes. I lined the bottom with Double Eyeliner Pencil in Forest, a double-ended eyeliner pencil which has the colors brown and dark green. I used dark green to coincide with my eyeliner. To finish the eye makeup, I applied two layers of Mascara Volume in Black.
For the face and lips, I kept to a berry palette. For the cheeks, I sweeped on Blush Duo in Rose/Pink. For the lips, I lined them with Double Lip Pencil in Berry, and then applied Lipstick in Wildberry. I added a shimmery finish with Lipgloss in Red Berry.
I put the products to the test by going out that night. At the end of the night, only the pencil eyeliner smudged a bit, and needed to be fixed with a q-tip. Logona’s eye shadow trio has excellent color pay off and very little fallout. The mascara did not run, and kept my lashes full and luscious. Logona’s mascara didn’t have an unpleasant smell to it, which drug store mascaras usually give off. The blush maintained it’s color throughout the night, and my lips stayed moisturized and only needed slight retouching with some lip gloss. For me, I’ve always been a bit put off by lipsticks or lip glosses that have strong fragrances. Many makeup brands prefer to add strong scents to their lip products to mask all the synthetic ingredients. I was very pleasantly surprised that Logona’s lip products did not give off a strong scent. Overall, I’m very pleased with Logona’s Fall Makeup line and many of their products will definitely be staying in my makeup bag.
