Eco-Friendly Audrey Hepburn Makeup Look
I was watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s this Sunday and admiring the New York scenery in the 1960s. I absolutely adored Audrey’s makeup look in the movie. Full eyebrows, thick eyeliner, fluttery lashes, and naturally glowing skin. Although we can’t obtain Audrey’s high cheekbones, we can recreate her look, buy ourselves a danish and coffee, and admire the jewels outside Tiffany on Fifth Ave. Below are my recommended eco-friendly makeup products to recreate her iconic look.
1. Use Shobha’s eyebrow pencil to fill in your eyebrows; try to make them fuller and darker in reminiscent of Audrey’s full brows. This eyebrow pencil is paraben-free and comes in two shades, one for blondes and one brunettes. The formula is long lasting and water resistant, making it great all-day wear. The cap also includes a sharpener, making it convenient and the perfect item to include in your travel or touch-up makeup bag. Its eco-friendly ingredients include jojoba seed oil, beeswax, and carnauba wax.
2. Sante NaturKosmetik, a Germany based brand, has a naturally formulated liquid eyeliner, which includes aloe vera extract. Use the befitting shade, Black Glamour, to recreate Audrey’s cat eye.
3. Use Lavera’s Volume Mascara to get those fluttery lashes. The formula is paraben-free and includes ingredients such as jojoba oil and wild rose, which hydrates the lashes and keeps the mascara from flaking.
4. Audrey’s character had a natural flush throughout the movie. Sweep some of Marie Natie’s blush in Feel Natural across your cheekbones. This all natural blush uses ingredients such as lavender, ylang ylang, green tea extract, and apple extract.
5. Finish Audrey’s look with a natural shade of lipstick. Afterglow Cosmetic’s Lip Love Lipstick in Secret is a medium pink brown that delivers a matte creme finish. This eco-friendly lipstick is made from aloe vera, pomegranate, grape seed extract, and organic apricot kernel.
